The Ministry undertakes to:

1. develop an adequate human skills base to meet the transformational needs required to implement NDS 1 and NDS 2 in fulfilment of the industrialisation and modernisation thrust of the economy;
2. give efficient and timely service to all internal and external clients;
3. make timeous responses to communication/ instructions/ requests/returns;
4. give accurate and relevant information;
5. mobilise adequate resources for research, development and innovation and disburse these timeously;
6. promote new innovators, inventors, researchers and targeted researches;
7. promote and popularise Science, Technology and Innovation for societal benefit;
8. facilitate the establishment of a depository for new patents from research outcomes and/or improvements to existing patents;
